Lakeland FL- hotels near LAL?

Looks like I'm heading to Lakeland, but not for Sun and Fun.

Heading down there in Jan. Any hotel recommendations close to the airport (KLAL)?

I'll check the SnF site, too.

There’s a Hilton Garden inn on the field.

You can walk to the hotel from the FBO.

I'm not flying into LAL, I'll be driving there from either MCO or MLB, then staying for a few days - kind of a family visit with a lot of side trips. I think where I'll be at LAL is in the S/W corner, same place where the SnF sign is painted on the ramp, the opposite side of the airport from that hotel.

There is a Holiday Inn Express that is just a few miles away I camped at for a few days and was decent.
