Lake Powell...

The West has been in serious drought mode for years, and it's getting worse. Part weather & climate, part growing populations.

That trip was like glass...but cold (20°f). Our plan was to leave KCDC, spiral up to 11,500 and go east over the mountains...it took like 28 minutes but it was very smooth. We'd been better to just cut south then head east...next time, lol.
It was great fun, and the fellow running Cal-Black (U96) was like the Maytag repairman! He was just glad to have someone to talk to. We bought selfserve fuel and he fueled us up while we BS'd. Back at the FBO he tossed us snack and water on the house...Ya, fun time.

Awesome, I love flying around there! I haven't been to U96, thanks for the tip

Awesome!
It's just crazy how low powell is.

Impressive photos, In April, I planned to flight to Powell too. But my trip is too short to be there

Eventually, I flew to Hoover Dam
