Lake Hood accident landing

That initial touchdown looked good. I see the hole in the float, maybe some extra drag once opened up?

It sure looked like something wasn’t streamlined after the water touchdown. Those floats look a little aged.

Did they hit something in the water that tore open the float?

Just like a damn UFO or Bigfoot video - arggghh! Right at the moment you might actually see something then someone (or an algorithm) f's with everything so you can't actually see the 1 or 2 seconds that would really make it obvious.

Bummer w/r to the accident and glad everyone made it out.

Holy cow! Did he hit something? The violent loss of control after touch down looked very similar to the Dornier landing mishap a few years ago. That one (the Dornier mishap) ended up being blamed mostly on a submerged log.

Probably hit a Sasquatch....that's why the video went wonky :)

After careful review of the video the plane did not hit a Sasquatch. We now believe it hit the Lochness monster.

Could not have been the Lockness monster, it was in quarantine with the rest of the monsters.....
