Logged 7.5 for the day flying from Tucson to Mesa and then Mesa to Bullhead City, AZ. Smooth flight then mother nature decided to challenge me for the return trip. Turbulence and 20 kt headwinds on the way back but got some aerial pictures of the London Bridge. Not my picture, actually better than mine because mine is from 7,500', but you get the idea. For those who may not know the history; the London Bridge at Lake Havasu was an actual bridge from London that was bought, dismantled, brought to Arizona and re-constructed stone by stone. https://golakehavasu.com/activities/attractions/london-bridge/

So if I had one of those "places I've flown" maps, I would now include California and Nevada.

Yep, joyride just for some sub par snow crab legs at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. I didn't want to stay until 3:30 for the seafood buffet at the casino.

You should get one of those maps. You're not a piloty pilot's pilot less'n you have one.

My first trip to Lake Havasu City was in 1968. In those days the airport (once called "Site Six") was still on the peninsula. That's the destination where developer Bob ("Chain Saw") McCulloch was flying real estate prospects in his Lockheed Constellations, and later Electras, and even a scheduled service from Long Beach using Turbo Commanders. The posh Nautical Inn resort was across the street from the airport.

On that first visit, the only the cornerstone of the bridge was in place, and wooden pylons marked where the bridge would be built.

Once the bridge was assembled, a channel was cut under it to turn the peninsula into an artificial island. The Site Six airport was closed, and a new airport was built a few miles north of town. Remnants of the old Site Six runways are still visible:
