My cousin (working on his commercial) and I did a longish VFR cross-country this past Sunday. We have been trying to take this trip VFR for a while now, but for the past several weekends we received less than stellar briefings from 1-800-WXBrief. Well we were finally able to complete it and even though we had to leave later than we wanted for some IFR airmets to clear out, we got in the air around 11am and had a blast. We did it in a 1967 Cherokee 140/160. The Foreflight shows we went to KVKS, but we actually went just north to KTVR, last minute change in route. Here are some images from the trip.
