Does anyone know anything more about the airplane down in the marsh at KSGJ yesterday?
The news report just says the pilot is ok, thankfully!

Pilot injured in plane crash near St. Augustine Airport

A St. Johns County Fire Rescue spokesperson said the 20-year-old pilot was "completely alert" and stable after the crash.

The top of the wing…what is that? It looks like a plane sitting for many years or maybe it’s stuff from the water splashed up and over?

It’s mud. It landed in a tidal mud flat.
Engine out it would be near the top of my options.

Good to see the pilot was successfuly rescued, without serious injuries
