Any "tricks" to using one that is not in the "book"?
They put one in one of the rentals I use. Just looking for any shortcuts or tricks those of you that have used one have.

i found a simulator that you can download for free, i cant remember where I found it. It is pretty limited but has a basic tutorial and you can at least get a feel for how it works.
ive enjoyed using the real thing.

Prowl around the bendix site. You can find the manual, quick reference, and simulator there. Or you could always buy one from them (but download works better). I have an 89B. It is IFR approach approved. I like it.
