Elections have consequences and one of the provisions of the stimulus plan would impose an electronic health records system on every person in the U.S. without any provision for seeking patient consent or allowing them not to participate.

Taking a medication you didn't what the hassle of discussing with the FAA? Maybe you took an antidepressant for a few months and wanted it to be your little secret? Maybe you didn't want to discuss the Vicoden you took when you broke your finger.

Soon your AME and the drones at the Medical Certification Division will be able to look at everything you and your doctor discuss in detail. This should keep the Medical Certification Division busy for years to come. They'll have to hire more government workers to investigate all the areas of your files that interest them. I guess that's why it's part of the stimulus package.

They can look at your medical records now. That's why you're supposed to supply the full name, address and phone number of your doctor.

If you want sympathy because you may not get away any longer with falsifying your medical application, look elsewhere.

BTW, the #1 requirement for electronic medical records is securing the data and auditing all accesses. It's actually way, way more safe that the physical patient files.

The first paragraph of you post is IMHO a SZ topic and has been thoroughly debunked.

The 2nd and 3rd paragraphs are true right now.
