King KN-75

I'm redoing some stuff in my panel and going through all my wiring to remove abandoned stuff. One thing I've found is a King KN-75 in my tail, however I don't have any King radios in my plane. I do have a Narco MK12D with GS though. Is there any chance the KN-75 is working with the Narco to provide GA or, did someone just leave it installed when they removed a King radio because it was easier than removing it? If it can be removed without losing any functionality, I'd like to do so.

The MK12D can have an internal GS receiver, or it can do 2 of 5 remote channeling. If you slide it out of the tray, if it has 3 antenna ports, it has an internal GS receiver. The KN-75 does support 2 of 5 channelling, so it could be providing the GS reception capability for a non-GS equipped 12D.
