Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy announce split

Noooooo!
On the other hand, Miss Piggy's been spending most of her time in Europe, while Kermit's been living in the swamp, leaving only for personal appearances and a movie or two. No offspring (that we know of) so it was inevitable after all this time.
They always reminded me of Sonny & Cher. MP was an uncredited extra in the back of the chorus line, only signed for 4 episodes of the original Muppets. Her sheer determination and force of will (not to mention the force of her right hook) got her noticed by Kermit and the producers. And there's absolutely no truth to the rumors she tried to seduce Jim Henson. You always saw her on the arm of Frank Oz until she & Kermit fell in love. She and Frank were inseperable for years.
