I took a ride up to the new restaurant at KEEN, today. Nice place, good food. They have a patio where you can sit outside and watch the traffic come and go.

It came with the added bonus today of a local aerobatics club practice session to watch while enjoying the food. They move the traffic pattern for 02 over to Right Traffic to accommodate the practice box, so watch the notams, there's a nice depiction of the temporary change on the FBOs Facebook page.

A couple of years ago I had lunch with a friend at a little diner just outside the gate at KEEN. I'm wondering if this is the same place, or if a new restaurant has opened up since then?

Brand new restaurant. Haven't been there yet, but, depending on Hermine, I am either flying there on Wednesday or next Monday.

When I have flown to KEEN, I used to eat at the Country Kitchen, located outside the gate near the FBO east of Runway 2-20. Decent little spot. Google Maps tells me this is now called The Dinner Table. I think that's the one Azure is talking about. It is clearly different from The Flight Deck, which appears to be in the old Terminal Building. @Cajun_Flyer, please confirm or deny after your visit. Thanks! -Skip

Skip, you're correct. The Flight Deck replaced what used to be an Indian restaurant in the main terminal building. The Country Kitchen was about 5 minutes walk outside, I've not been to the new place yet.

Thanks all, I think it was the Country Kitchen come to think of it. Good to know there's a new one there too.
