The wife and I flew to Springdale, AR KASG Saturday night for a meal at the Flaps Down Grill.

Good food, good service, good prices, balcony to eat outside overlooking the field, easy in and out Class D.

Give it a try.

Good to know. I usually press on to Gastons, but sometimes just flying on to Little Rock makes more sense - even though a stop in NW Arkansas would be more enjoyable.

Thanks! I'll give them a stop next time I'm headed out that way :)

BTDT...but not when it's called "flaps down grill". Don't remember what it was called...just not that.

Always been a good solid place to stop and have lunch and, like you say, a great view of the airport operations.

I was in Harrison when I learned how to fly and we would regularly fly over to Springdale for lunch, maneuvers on the way over...maneuvers on the way back.

We stopped there on our way to and from Oshkosh this year. Great place to stop!

The food at the restaurant was great on the way there, but there was none to be had on the return trip. Be advised, the restaurant is closed on Sundays.
