Just lost another one.

"Was it scheduled to land?"

The poor FAA guy must have been ready to stick a pencil up his nose.

Small crater, lots of fire... :dunno:

What is a Beechcraft "Air King?"

I wish these journalists would do a little Googling before they write up stuff they know nothing about.

If I recall correctly, there's a fatal airplane crash an average of two days out of three in the U.S.

Anyone know who the airplane belonged to? There are a couple King Air time building outfits in the Phoenix area....wondering if this was one.

When I see these reports that seem to indicate either pilot error, or a bad reaction to a mechanical problem, I wonder just how poorly I might do in the same situation and hope for better.
If it was a medical emergency then there's not much to say but, I guess, to be aware of your health and carry passengers accordingly. I see more and more of these as I watch these reports and follow up on them. We may pass the physical, and feel great but, hey, we're getting older, at least most of us still flying are.....:yikes: :hairraise:
Condolences to those affected.

"Morgan said the plane went back up about 200 feet when it was landing, and then came right back down before exploding".

One reporter said, "They landed 50' short of the runway". Try 175' from runway center line. Also, "They use a transponder to communicate because there was no tower".

Maybe an elevator trim issue.
