Just a matter of time..

Poor most likely. Even a strike by any substantial drone would likely cause damage to the leading edge of a rotor. Even if the rotor didn't break, an out-of-balance condition might cause vibrations severe enough for a loss of control. Any non-rotor strike on a helo would probably be less severe. Sooner or later, there will be a serious collision between an aircraft and privately operated drone operating somewhere it should not.

What's the chances of a helo. striking a drone and surviving ? lets say worst case. a blade strike.

Pretty poor. Lots of energy out at the tip of the blade and doesn't take much impact to put it out of balance.

The older, bigger blades would do better, modern composite blade would shatter, and that would be the end of that.

I'd say if it were a Bell 204 or similar, it could take a bit of battle damage ok, but lighter might be an issue.

And the idiot with the drone was helping how?

Military helos have eiforced blades that I've seen cut through some sizeable branches.

Hope this idiot does post his pictures on You Tube. Wonder how long it will take for authorities to track his ISP and have somebody with a set of handcuffs knocking on his door? What a jerk. Endangering property and lives for a few pictures.

Much more likely to be hit by an airplane not using a radio in the pattern or one not using the radio correctly.

TV News tonight carried the story. Lots of people will be looking for the drone operator.

Disagree. An airplane is easier to spot even if not using the radio. However, that drone can be darn near invisible. Lots of problems with these in Central Florida -- keeping the sheriff's helicopter busy.
