Just a little bad weather.

What is that, a Glasair? Can't tell. Looks slippery. Probably not real well-behaved with a load of ice on it. ?

Not going to second guess from here.

WX went to crap, pilot made the call, and everyone walked away.

The rest of this will be haggling with insurance and lawyers and what-not, and going over every decision with a fine-toothed comb... but it is all secondary to the first part -- where they survived.

Someone crashed this plane a year and a half ago too. Bad Mojo in that plane.

here's an eye witness account, for whatever it's worth.

This might be the pilots story but while sitting on my back porch near the 3 mile marker,I watched this plane fly south up near Shock Mountain and he circled 4 or five times. The plane then flew north up the East side of 93.The plane was gone for awhile, than it came back just a little above my house.I said to myself this guy is nuts. Then the plane came back over my house even lower as the pilot but power to the plane and it went out of sight. Then the MHP went by my place doing better than 100 mph with light and siron blasting.I told the wife I bet that idiot crashed that plane.
Rain nope,Ice maybe up there.wind very little
