So my EDM thinks I’m out of fuel. I select the option for full fuel when the unit starts. But immediately it reads “0 REM”. I suppose the transducer could be bad, or fouled, but I would have expected a different message (according to the manual).

Has anyone experienced this?

Get the manual out and work through both levels of set up screen and make sure everything is set up to some sane values.

Since the 800 doesn’t have actual fuel senders unlike the 900, it’s using the totalizer from the fuel flow, then counts down. When you boot up I assume you select refuel option, your capacity has to be correctly configured. If worst case scenario is you can’t fix it, first make sure you record all settings with your phone using video, then do a factory reset.

Yes, The JPI is prone to odd modes (especially if disconnected from power for an extended period). I've had it completely forget how many cylinders there were, etc...
