Happen to run across this on youtube. Is Steve a pilot?
Might need to skip to 0:42
Highly likely he's a pilot. There is a company listed in the FAA materials called "Journey Aviation" with the call sign "Rock Band".
Looked in my mid-2019 FAA pilot database, there's a "Stephen Ray Perry" with a Florida address. Commercial and instructor tickets, and aircraft and helicopter.
Curiously, I checked my 1997 copy of the FAA pilot database and didn't see him (checked under Pereira, his birth name, too). However, it may have been suppressed for privacy reasons.
Edit: Didn't find any planes registered to him, but there are two bizjets in Boca Raton licensed to LLCs with "Journey" in their name.
Saw some blurbs online about him flying helicopters.
I wouldn't stop believing he was a pilot
I hear he didn't tap the brakes on his 172 so he could see the wheel in the sky kept on turning
Don't give up your day job just yet....
Let's hope the fuselage and wings of the plane he flies don't go separate ways.
