John King gets his medical back

Hurray!

I always enjoyed John in his videos, when I was studying for my PPL and instrument rating. I'm happy for him.

His story, apparently.

My take: He had Yodice's daughter fire a warning shot across the bow of a full NTSB hearing, numerous Docs said he posed no real risk, FAA Docs decided to make him pay for threatening them, then backed down pretending to be nice.

Nothing anyone normal could do or afford, and no real change in anything.

Kool,,, gives us hope,, Oh well I said that about Bob Hover too.

One step in there, to do nothing, was 4 1/2 months. . .at the point where no final determination on any pilot action, medical or otherwise, should be in the FAA's hands. A third party (not/not NTSB), commission style, pilots chosen by pilots, rotating terms, makes the final call. If FAA has been capricious and arbitrary, treble costs to the victim - and they pay the all the freight up-front, until the final decision is tendered. Any additional actions against a prevailing pilot has to be vetted by the commssion in advance, for, say, the next three years.
