Joe Paterno Died

Now that we are looking back, doesn't seem like a cheap shot firing him before he got his record?

what record are you talking about. he was fired right after he broke the all time college football coach win record, i believe

I thought it was a couple games short. ?

Oops yer right ,

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Joe Paterno, the longtime Penn State coach who won more games than anyone in major college football

According to Paterno, he told his manager. The information he had was 3rd hand. No one in management followed up. All you really know is Penn State fired him (and that was done to distance Penn State from the controversy).
Who you should be upset with is the guy who told Paterno for not pressing it and Penn State management for not doing ANY followup.
Hindsight is always perfect. He admitted he should have done more but you are also talking about a man who was a long time associate and friend. If you heard some allegations about a trusted adviser, what would you have done?

Child molestation scandal.

Sometimes the guy at the top gets fired:

Some times he doesn't:

You are right, I deleted my post. I agree, as a college football junky I was trying to be civil and respectful towards the Penn State fans and people who looked up to him. Civility and respect for innocent victims is a dumb old fashioned idea. I'm learning fast to get rid of my old fashioned ways... is there an app for that?

I dunno, they canned the OSU coach because some players traded NCAA crap for tattoos. What happened in PA doesn't seem so out of line in comparison.

Whatever, RIP for Joe Pa.
