Similar event in Raleigh, NC at N.C.'s largest indoor mall: "shots" heard, panic, 911 lines and almost all cell towers jammed, people rush out of mall or into stores hiding in the back rooms. Police and SWAT teams arrive, lock down the mall, proceed to check everyone before allowing them to exit mall, people outside in heat for hours waiting to re-enter and get their belongings which they left in the panic. Either 12 or 16 people injured in the rush, taken to local hospitals. Result: no shooter, no firearm, no spent cartridges found. Two "bullet holes" found which turned out to be something else. No shooter or firearm on security video. Main E/W road, Hwy 70, shut down for hours, all N/S roads in vicinity crossing Hwy 70 shut down. No cars allowed to leave mall parking until SWAT had checked them out. Funny scene with Raleigh Policewoman refusing to allow howling TV truck drivers to approach mall. Valet parking customers unable to retrieve their cars because valets had locked up and scattered. Society is just a very thin hairline from being anarchy on any given day.
