Jepp Updates for Garmin 300XL

I am hoping that I can simply just update the gps database
without having to buy the Skybound hardware setup from Jepp
at their outrageous prices. Does anyone here update their cards
without the Jepp setup, or there is just no way and I have to bite
the bullet and get the setup from either ebay or Jepp, or hopefully
I live close to someone else that has this already and I can use
theirs for the updates. thanks.

Call Jeppesen and ask. I believe you can get one time updates for any system you want.
