Final Approach
JABOG is here!! It's the summer annual Soaring Safari to Tonopah NV to soar the Great Basin area of Nevada. About 15 gliders are coming in tonight and tomorrow for a week of soaring fun.
We'll expect a lot of 300, 500, 700 and maybe even 1000km flights.
And a lot of just local flying.. chasing other gliders down and having short races. The "soaring area" is bounded by Tonopah, Ely, Astin, Bishop, Beatty and back to Tonopah. Stay away from the Restriced and Military MOA, RED FLAG is in town.
I'm packed and ready to roll in the morning. It's about 3.5 hours north to Tonopah. For those in the know.. there is an LS-4 in the trailer.
I'll try to provide some updates during the week.
