What a great day for flying today. A friend of mine and I went to lunch in his Glasair II. After lunch, another friend asked me to go with him in his RV-7 to show him how to do rolls. I flew back from lunch with another guy in his Glasair Super II. Once home, I took the Extra for a spin and then practiced wheel landings in the Citabria.

If you're green with envy then my job is done and my day is complete. :D

Oh yeah?

Well, i did not get to do all that stuff, but I did use an airplane as it should be used, and that is as a time machine. Tommy and I flew the club's Cardinal RG to Austin for the UT v. Tech game, and the weather was flawless, the ride serene and the game... well, that rocked, too!

Substituting an airplane flight for the drive makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Wouldn't have it any other way!

Your day is complete.

I cancelled my flight today. Rainy and cloudy.

I cancelled my flight last week. Head cold.

Your day is complete :)

Sounds awesome Chip!!

I didn't get up today(sunday) even though it was perfect outside, but me and my little brother went up yesterday evening. He said before we went up that he wanted to do a couple landings so we did 4, I explained what I was doing the whole time and he loved it. He is a future aviator for sure.

Looks like helicopter weather:rolleyes:

I finally got back up yesterday after a five month break. Took a CFI up to knock the rust off and do some patternwork. It counted as one hour of my phase 2 Wings as well.

I need to look at some more planes. The 172 is fun for putzing but I'm itching for something a little faster and 'playful', I think. :D

91.155 (b) (1) Helicopter. A helicopter may be operated clear of clouds if operated at a speed that allows the pilot adequate opportunity to see any air traffic or obstruction in time to avoid a collision.

So, you're right, of course, Lance.

Smart and legal aren't always the same thing, though

Nice try for sure, but keep workin' at it.

Flew out to a late, leisurely lunch with a lady pilot type in perfect autumn skies then battled some turbulence aloft for awhile before touching down.

We were driving back to Royersford from Morgantown yesterday, and saw Jetranger flying beside the road. Under very low ceilings, he was (my WAG) about 300' AGL, in vis of about 1 1/2 miles. He wasn't going real fast. Took him a while to pass us.

Well Chip i had a good day too, went to the airport and change my oil. Didn't fly winds where 15 gusting to 25 and at about 70 degrees to the runway. I dont like landing sideways. Dave G

I believe that, Joe. My house is at 800 MSL and we were in the clouds most of the day.

Spent about 28 hours in transit from JNB to SEA through FRA and ORD on Monday and Tuesday. Obviously in the back of pressurized aluminum tubes, serving as self loading cargo. God, I HATE Lufthansa coach. Good service, but NO legroom!
