Something I haven’t seen said yet is that it’s not over when you get your license. There is always “work” to stay proficient in the type of flying you are talking about. Every flight will require “work” to plan and make sure you’re safe. Weather isn’t constant, every trip is a new one, even to the same destination.
It’s a lot of stress and work. I can’t justify the amount of effort I put into flying. I just have to do it anyway. If you don’t feel that way, it might not be for you.
