I think building is the biggest obstacle to the expansion of EAB planes.
They say anyone can build this plane almost anywhere.
Is this a quantum leap or a marginal improvement over RVs?

I would argue most modern kits are designed the same way, now. It is a good looking aircraft, but it doesn't really seem all that different from a number of other kits.

I do like the parts are pre-primed, not sure I've seen that on another kit.

Although import/sale (production??) stopped last year, the Bushcat could arguably be built in a few hundred hours. Bolt together tubes and zip up fabric.

All modern RV's have CNC matched hole construction and a minimum of fabrication. The RV-12 uses pop rivets like it appears the Alto does, so the construction should be very similar. The performance looks similar too.

Maybe the Alto flies better, maybe it flies worse. Maybe you're more comfortable dealing with the Alto folks from Czechoslovakia than Van's given Van's recent bankruptcy. Or maybe you'd be more comfortable dealing with a US company.

But the airplanes (Alto and RV-12) appear very similar both to build and fly.
