Put a sleeve in a pitted brake caliper. I have a box of calipers with pitted bores.
Thinking about sleeving them thus bringing new life to an old part.
 
Why not simply bore over and fit with new piston?
 
hadn't thought of that. Either way it will get bored. Are there oversized pistons available?
 
Early disk brake Corvette calipers had pitting problems and the fix was to sleeve them. I bet by now almost all of them have been sleeved.

I have not heard of it done on airplanes but I am no expert on airplane brakes.

If I remember right 1965 was the first year disk brakes were an option and they became standard in 1966. Between the early 80's and early 90's I owned/restored a 64, 66, 69, and 76. The 64 was the only one that had drum brakes.

I sleeved a set of calipers for a friends Jaguar a bunch of years ago.. works great, but it was a show car so not used much. easy to do...
