The many stupid and erroneous 'interpretations' from the FAA lawyers that amount to new law written by very junior lawyers with no aviation background.
The imperial edict from FAA medical concerning OSA, without any effort to see if there was really a problem to be solved, and if there is a problem, considering ways to solve it that don't cost a fortune.
This latest fiacos concerning simulator LOAs. There wasn't a problem, and now smaller GA training companies will lose thousands of dollars that they had spent in good faith. Why? Because someone inside the FAA had a bright idea and didn't bother to run his idea past the people who pay his salary.
Paul Bertorelli has a great opinion piece that hits the nail on the head in AvWeb today.
What is this sickness that has infected the FAA and the federal government in general?
Can it cured?
