My Nano has recently stopped displaying the volume bar along the bottom of the screen, as well as the bar that shows how far along in a song i am. Instead it shows 5 dots. Volume still works. What did I do?

Push the center button again. That's the song rating. It goes to 5 stars.

When you press the center button it should cycle between volume, FF/REW, the info screen, album art, and the rating.

If it doesn't respond try doing a reset.
