Iphone text msg

Got 2 Iphones, mine and the wifes. Different apple ID's but they are both on the same Verizon account. Wife's is new, replaced a 4 with a 6s. Now when either of us gets a text it goes to both both phones. Why? How do I stop that?

You must have used the same iCloud account for both. I suspect it is just the iMessages and not all text messages. Go to Settings/Messages/Send&Receive. Double check your addresses.

Got it. Thanks for the advice. It was Family Sharing in iCloud that was doing it

Things could get very messy if girl friend sends a text.
