ipad: SR/SS app

[Let'sgoflying!]

Someone try out Sunrise Clock for their location (free).
Compare to your location for accuracy.
It lists
SR/SS;
astronomical;
nautical;
civil

But they do not coincide at all with airnav's times.

need to figure out if its worth it or maybe a better one exists.

Foreflight has sunrise/sunset times.

Weather Channel's app has that info

I'm guessing that they are using one of the simple approximations, rather
than doing the heavy lifting required for a precise calculation.

My favorite online source is "sunrisesunset.com"

In flight I tend to use the GNS480's "POS" screen which will tell you the sunset times for any airport in the database.

[Jeanie]

Nate, where did you find that on fore flight?

Airport Info page. The screenshot is from the iPhone which looks a little different but it's there on both.

Thank you, I just got the app and iPad as a gift and last night I took off in daylight but landed in darkness and wanted to figure out how much day and night to log.
