iPad Mini 4 Mount

I just got an iPad Mini 4 & I was going to buy a Ram mount from Sporty's & was told that the current Ram mount that Sporty's carry won't work for the Mini 4. What's the difference between the Mini 4 & the others? What is everyone using for a mount till Ram makes a mount? Thanks!

The RAM X-Grip for 7" tablets should work fine, it's not as slim as the purpose built mounts and not quite as solid but will handle things in cases and of various sizes:

There are three types of device mounts...the X grip which is more universal, the snap in which is device/model specific without a case and a spring clamp which can do most devices with a slim case.

I use the spring clamp and love it...just check you device dimensions.

I had an Otterbox case for my iPad Mini and put SuperLok tape on the cover to which I attack two RAM balls.

Works well, and if you have an Otterbox already, the price is right.

Ipad Mini 2 is 7.87" x 5.3" x .29"

Ipad Mini 4 is 8" x 5.3" x .24"

Seems that the spring clamp would fit but the sites says only iPad Minis 1-3. Pretty sure if my iPad mini was .13" longer it would still fit in.

I would go with the X Grip to be safe or try the spring clamp and be prepared to exchange of is does not fit.

I like the x-grip. I use it for my mini 2 that uses an otterbox case. Fits very well and doesn't move whatsoever.
