IPAD keyboard help wanted

I know not how but my iPad just switched from a keyboard that went across the bottom of the screen, to one that is SPLIT 1/2 left and 1/2 right.

Anyone ever done this and know how to undo it?

Pull the keypad apart to split, push together to join it back.

That works, as does tap and hold on the keyboard icon on the keyboard, which will let you split or join via menu item, or undock and reposition the keyboard.

Heh. It's there so ostensibly one can hold it with two hands and type with thumbs, but I can't get used to it. Some love it.
