Way back when, on my "discovery" flight, after departing GAI, I remember the CFI making a quick stopover at W50, and then we proceeded on our way back to GAI.

My question: Suppose you're on a flight plan back into the SFRA, say, from WOOLY to KGAI. Can you amend the plan in the air if you want to pick up a T&G at W50 on the way home? That is, is it sufficient to advise PCT of one's intentions, or does one need to file separate plans for WOOLY to W50 and W50 to KGAI?

If he's just doing T&G he can advise. Approach will say to keep transponder code and come back on freq. Same as I do when arriving back at base and doing pattern work, I'll keep the code until parking.

Put it in the remarks section of the flight plan.

This also works when I've done pattern work at KANP.
