I am working on a 1964 Cessna 172E. I have stripped all the interior out of the plane. What is the best way to clean this up? Also I am wanting to add a hush kit with the insulation that has the sticky back to it. Do I have have to remove all that black that is on the sides and ceiling before I apply the insulation?

Do not remove the black sound deadener, it serves a purpose.
Be careful what you put in because of weight and glue on stick on insulation can cause corrosion. My thoughts...
More thoughts...this is the best adhesive remover that I have ever used. Lot's better than dangerous solvents like lacquer thinner.
Don't forget to update the safety belts, they have a limited life span.

May want to consider more modern air vents made out inexpensive PVC. Notice the wasp nest in the stall warning horn. That is piece of PVC pipe stuck in there.

This is a 45 with a expensive aluminum ball valve vent screwed in to it. I do not glue it on, slip fit stays put all year until annual time. About 300 bucks cheaper than the one sportys sells.

Don't forget about door seals!
