I was using the MyFlightbook.com app on my iPad and chose the option to show airports near me. As I zoomed in on Lydia Airpark just south of me I noticed something interesting....there "appears" to be a jet airliner on a modified left base for runway 18 (a grass strip!) :). Same image is used by Maps app on iPad. Haven't checked Google Earth.

Anyone else spot aircraft in satellite images?

The satellite is at around 380 miles up. Even an airliner at the flight levels is going to be hard to differentiate from one at pattern altitude. We get random airplane shots in our satellite overheads all the time (I worked for 23 years in the satellite image analysis industry, I wrote the software that had nearly 90% of the marketplace for spy satellite work).

I had to search my old posts because I knew I had a satellite image in there somewhere.....

The satellite didn't go down in the middle of that? Wow.
