JOOC, I wonder what T-38s have for de-ice equipment?

Basically, nothing for structural ice. It's got little bitty, highly loaded, razor-blade wings, and the sharper the leading edge, the more susceptible to icing. It doesn't take much structural ice at all to turn a T-38 into a flying emergency due to loss of aerodynamic efficiency.

That's what I was thinking. So "severe icing" in a T-38 could mean light icing to a Cherokee. Hardly seems fair.
