So there I was, at the "Georgetown Mall." Clarification: the "GM" is this island's Transfer Station(recycling center), where i was getting rid of my newspapers and other discardables. A stranger picked up on my N7872G license plate on the truck. While we talked about aviation I learned he's held PP-ASEL/ASES/IR/COMM/ATP.

The items he was leaving behind at the "Mall" were Flight Engineer Course; the Test Questions and Answers book; a thick EMBRAER book and a couple Citation books from planes he had flown. I brought several editions home; interesting reading.

He was a Flight Engineer in the USN; and what else? Highest rating as Naval Aviation Photographer - oh what fascinating stories about the fabulous Zeiss cameras, and how -- when GPS became popular -- they didn't have to "look" for the photo target, just punch in the coordinates and when they got there, Bingo!

Now a former civilian employee at the "three more weeks and it's gone" NAS Brunswick, and not having flown for several years, he needs to do his Biennial Review. Well, guess who has the plane in which he can do it! And after that, what better copilot could I find for my photo shoots?

While at the Georgetown Mall I usually find at least one item I can use, someone else having discarded same. But yesterday? That was a find!
