I did my IFR XC yesterday... KRNO-KSCK-KSAC-KRNO. I am less worried about the flying part than I am about the oral. My DPE told me to expect a 2.5 to 3 our oral and about 2.0 - 2.2 for the flight.

He did my PPL checkride in 2013. That one was about the same length.

Any tips? gotchas? I have watched this checkride video:

 
Show the DPE you can do it, just like you showed your instructor. I found VERY little difference between them at the end.

Favor timed turns over compass, but know your compass errors.
 
First good luck on the checkride. Your CFII should know favorite questions or talk to a recent candidate. MzeroA has a good book of favorite questions for the Oral.

Good luck! Your CFI wouldn't send you if you weren't ready. If it's anything like my ride, my instructor was way harder on me than the DPE. Relax and you'll do fine. Definitely easier than the PPL ride in my opinion.
