Increase in CubCrafters + Aviats being listed

Having flown a 8GCBC Scout, I don't see why anyone who owned one would ever sell it.
Fair enough. But all pilots get older, to a point. We all face a time when we can no longer act as PIC. Even if a pilot holds on to an aircraft past that point purely for sentimental reasons, their heirs and estates probably aren't so emotionally attached.

Its like my neighbors saying, "we are letting the market decide," but increasing the price when it did not sale for 8 months. They ended up delisting I think.
I know a family a few roads down from me that listed their older house with some decent land for ~650k in 2020, and at the time in my zip code that was top of market and much nicer and newer houses were asking that. $650k now would actually be pretty properly priced IMO. But instead, they have delisted and relisted the property 3 or 4 times now and increased the price each time, last I saw was 1.1M or so and is still listed 5 years later. Its like they don't even want to sell

Update- I just checked and it recently sold for....550k. At one point they asked 1.3m

A long time ago wife and I had to part with a little beach house in Hawaii. It sat on the market quietly until the listing needed to be renewed. I mentioned to a friend that we needed it to sell so would reduce the price. He convinced me to raise it instead. It sold in 3 days.

I guess I lump the carbon cub crowd with the jacked up truck crowd. Pretty useless as a truck. But it seems to represent something else.

I'm with you on the kitfox. Ive been going back and forth between a Kitfox and a highlander. I would absolutely fall into the not use it for what it was built for crowd. But I'd like to build it and my neighbor does have an alfalfa field about 1,000' long. Would be nice to fly a plane to the airport (that's a 12 minute drive away) to fly the other plane. Yes I'm aware its stupid.
You should look at the Zlin Norden. All metal wing, electric retractable slats, double slotted flaps, drooped tips, all pushrod controlled with a 916 iS up front.
