This particular thread should never be addressed specifically but another thread can be started to discuss this one if needed.

Some threads are amazing. Let's be honest the next word thing took off like wild fire. Makes me miss Captain. I suspect he is still among us though.

My personal favorites:
The CiPio training thread. That guy's thread is going to be a pilot training book one day in the future. He makes me feel lazy in just about everything I do.

Any thread about a passed checkride (and I see we have a new one today) is awesome. I love the checkride write-ups.

Any thread that contains the word "dildo" there are eight by the way (9 now).

And any other progress thread. I love the progress threads like MikeinBama's. Great thread. Could have used more dildo references if I'm being totally honest. But for real that was a great read.

I don't like the "plane down" threads but I find myself drawn to them and wanting to learn as much as possible about them.

And any thread / post by someone I have met in person or sexted with (I am looking at you EdFred)


Lastly if a thread was made about this thread I would probably like it just because it is a thread about a thread about threads. AND it has a dildo reference to boot.

That's what dreams are made of.

yes. It was legendary.
It started and stopped as if it might not recover
Then recover it did. And now in to IR territory.

It was at times an underdog story... The "Remember The Titans" of flight training.

I was constantly checking that one.

Any thread where R&W and Ron argue seems to deliver. Traffic pattern entry threads tend to be epic also. I'll try to find my favorites.
 
I quit threads are pretty entertaining.....until they come back apologizing....saying they could never quit......and then quit again.

Always keeps me thinking....."WTF???? why announce your quitting??? Do you think the forum will be a girlfriend begging you to stay???"

And let's face it....even if the forum was your girlfriend begging you to stay....the makeup sex will be absent.....not even a "handy".....

Personally, I like the threads about dogs flying. Why does no one ever ask about taking their cat flying? :dunno:
 
I'm too late to this thread, so I think I'll just set it to ignore and then start spawning a bunch of new threads so people can talk about them here behind my back.

It was in my head. I was listening to the radio and someone called in stating there is actually a town called "Dildo" in Canada.

Verifying... brb...

I just came up with the title for the next "As the propeller turns"

Anyway so someone called in saying that and I got to thinking about what if there were pilots on POA from Dildo Canada. Ya know just flying all over Dildo field saying "Dildo county traffic, Cessna 123 entering left base for 17 Dildo"

This word would be a normal part of their vernacular.

"Honey, I am running out to dildo city to get some things do you need anything from the store?"

"No but don't spend too much, I just got a note from First Dildo Auto, and our insurance rates are going up so we are going to be a little strapped"

"Also, try to be back by 8 North Dildo baptist has a new minister coming to introduce himself to dildo and share the word with us and all of the dildodians."

A lot went through my head so I searched POA and did not find any people from Dildo but I did find 8 other references. None town specific.

Mrs 6PC was reading about it and it said "Dildo town is part of Dildo Arm"

She goes "Dildo Arm?? That would be the weirdest super hero"

Any time you see a thread count above 300 or 400 you are looking at a arguable number. Good sheets use single ply threads. Cheaper sheets use double, triple or even quad plys. A sheet using 300 triple ply threads will be sold as 900 thread count. Or a sheet with 100 triple ply threads will be sold as 300 thread count, but it is nowhere near as good, and doesn't last near as long as a 300 single ply thread count.

I just learned this last week. There are a bunch of other secrets about good sheets too. I had never heard of "organic sheets" before, but from now on I will only buy 100% single ply organic cotton. I wish I knew that back in my wild oat sowing days. Chicks dig nice sheets.
 
I just don't think that flying 200lbs overweight is the same in a cessna 172 compared to other more powerful aircraft. Wouldn't you be safer to go overweight in a 300hp aircraft compared to a 180hp aircraft??
 
I'm not big on corduroy jackets.
