In search of a Sacramento, CA based CFI

I have two friends who have a major interest in learning to fly. Our local schools are nickel&dime happy (I know this by experience) and my CFI is booked and I'm going immediately into instrument training once I get my PPL. All his friend CFI's are booked.

I would like to refer my friends to a CFI who will get them trained well and provide great guidance. I know of a few CFI's in town who'll milk the students and withhold information needed to pass a checkride, only to keep the student coming and paying.

Their main interest is in extracting as much money from students as possible; actually instructing is somewhere down the list.
