In praise of PTC controllers

Made a round trip DMW to OFP yesterday, the SFRA and Bravo are smack in the center of a direct route. Realizing it was Sunday and not terribly busy, I was still struck at how courteous PTC app was. Every call was met with a "Welcome". Heard "how can I help" a lot. Since it was cavu, instead of filing I just went VFR with following, intending to go west of the SFRA and Bravo, but had Bravo clearance offered without asking. Everyone was professional, but it just seemed friendlier than it's been in the past.

I'll second a nice job for them on my DC trip last month. They were very friendly and helpful to include wx deviations and explaining what they were displaying on their radar.

I'll third although not the same area; on my way back from Phoenix back to Tucson because they were not their normal grumpy selves and cleared me through Bravo without me even asking. They must have got a raise or something.
