That looked a little lower than most of the St. Maarten approaches, but that is "normal" for there. A.net has some great photos from there and flightlevel350.com has some great videos.

That's St Maarten, but, that is much lower than normal. Wow.

Here's the flipside. The same aircrew capturing departure. He calls only 100 and then "V1 Rotation" in the same breath. What are V1 and Vr for a 74-?

I don't know about the 74-, but fully loaded in the 1900, V1/VR is 115/116 respectivly, so that seems pretty aggressive for a heavy. Short field takeoff, anyone?

i suspect they dont load the 747's up to max gross coming out of there. lots of power i bet they have damn good performance when light..
