Illinois folks, I hope you're all safe

The Five Points Gym/Concert hall in Washington is being set up as a shelter....Trails edge subdivision in Washington IL was flattened. Baseball sized hail.

There was a twinkie tied down OUTSIDE at 3MY. I sure hope it's okay.

We had a 2 hour power outage in 70MPH winds in the severe thunderstorm.

I got to fire up my generator.

I got to be reminded that I had only put in a gallon or two of gasoline when I set it up.

There were actually 7 independent tornados. Pekin- the marigold estates subdivision was hit, about 100 homes. Washington- about 150 homes. East Peoria, about 20 businesses and 50 homes.

One death. Folks here generally know what to do when they hear the train coming.
 
Have not heard, but they should be. Champaign county was not hit by the twisters.

I was just on the Weather Channel and heard "Peoria was hit hard" and came here immediately to see if Dr. Bruce and his people were okay. Whew.
