You get your transponder and encoder bench checked and ramp checked, but your altimeter has a friction problem and a leak around the adjustment shaft ( o ring ). You send the altimeter out for repair. The altimeter comes back certified after a repair . Your IA installs the altimeter and performs a leak test on the pitot-static system . Are you IFR legal ?

Actually, yea. As long as the leak test meets the same requirements as the IFR check. It does not reset the clock though. The orig tests still holds.
