iFly X7 EFB impressions

Did anyone see the iFly X7 EFB at Airventure? I'm curious about everyone's impressions. I have an iFly 740b that lives in my Gyro, and I should probably get something for the fixed-wing. I have Jeppesen charts on the G1000, but I'm thinking I might rather have an EFB tablet instead of paying for the Jeppesen charts.

I might be able to run it on my iPad, but it's ancient. If the X7 is also a good Android tablet, that may be the way to go.

I did. Looked like a nice piece of kit, and the price is right. I would grab one myself, except it does not have a serial cable out.

No serial, but it does have USB - so a USB to serial adapter would seem to be an option. Seems a little pricey for what it is, though...

Ahhh. I forgot, the 740 could drive an autopilot, couldn't it?

The last time I needed a serial port.... maybe 15 years ago.... the USB to serial adapters were pretty awful.

I'm currently using a Bluetooth to serial adapter, but it is not stable.
