If you can walk away from it...

Seems like a landing only a carbon cub could do. That's crazy. Glad he is ok!

Wow. I don't see a hole in the fence of the baseball park; I suppose that means that he put it down right between the outer fence and the ravine?

And if the plane flies again, it's an excellent one.

Ages ago, the flight school that I was learning at had what I recall as a single pane Jeff McNealy (Shoe) color Sunday comic. The text at the top says "Any landing you can walk away from is a good one." The drawing showed two people in an open cockpit airplane that has crashed through into the interior of a barn. The front pilot is saying "How's my landing?" and the other passenger is surveying the wreck and says "middling."

I'd love to have a copy of that one for my hangar now.

Nicely done, other options don't look very forgiving. Glad no one was hurt! Kudos to the pilot Ina difficult situation for sure!

There are no wheel marks from behind the plane. If you look closely at the ground, it looks like he was landing on the "road" next to the ravine and the left wing caught something. The only tire marks I see are on the left hand side of the plane. (Look right off the left wingtip)
