ideas/rentals near Las Vegas?

Thanks in advance to anyone who reads through my ramblings.

My grandfather, who lives in Bullhead City, is starting to decline, and I'd like to make good on a ~promise to take him flying before he goes. Something kinda like this:
-fly into KLAS and Uber to a smaller airport.
-Checkout in a rental aircraft.
-Fly it to Bullhead City (~70mi by way of the Colorado River) and
-take him for a little ride.

Might be an overnight, which I'd be happy to pay overnight minimums for.

I'm a 350+ hour instrument rated private pilot with complex and high performance endorsements, and non-owner insurance. Can anyone make a recommendation? I'm open to alternatives. I'm aiming to do this next week.

North Las Vegas Airport, KVGT, West Air Aviation. Normally has C172 and C182 in the fleet. Be sure to ask about getting around the LAS Class B. Normal way is around the west side towards Red Rocks then south to head for the Colorado between Henderson and Jean. Other way is to get a Class B clearance east over Nellis AFB. Then south once clear of the Class B. Expect Flight Following to clear the Rwy 26 and Runway 19 arrivals into LAS.
