Hi all! I just got back from a 4 day trip during which I ferried a 182 from Lewiston Idaho, to Washington DC.

The town of Lewiston from a scenic stop.

Fast forwarding to after landing at KIAD. I dropped off my student/ the owner of the plane. He left his car there so he picked up the car and I continued to KGAI with the plane.

An amazing trip for sure! To those wondering why I ended up in El-Paso if I started in Idaho... There was a huge area of cloud cover, precip and Icing Airmets that pretty much kept me from crossing the rockies liked I originally hoped. Unfortunately, by the time we woke up in Pheonix for the second day, that system moved south which made me puch my route as south as I could.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I have enjoyed sharing them with you!

Must have been grueling, I'm glad they pay you the big bucks to do this ;)

You have to update your map with the about 20 states you accumulated during that trip.

I'm heading from LAS to AUG in May...
with all of those pictures...

I CAN'T WAIT !!!

and then I get to fly back too.. :)

I love flying out west. Great pictures! Also sounds like good working with the weather - I personally still have the policy of no IMC out west.

Great pictures, but I'm trying to understand why you went from Lewiston to Pasco if you were headed east/south. Seems a little out of the way. Weather that bad to the immediate south?

Ben:

Awesome photos! Sounds like a great trip!! You post has also confirmed that I can still Read Hebrew. Your keyboard switched languages at on point. I was mmm whats that word ?Oh, HA Terminal. LOL

Cheap fuel?

As an aside? I hate "North Up" on my GPS display. YMMV :D

I cant stand anything BUT north up! LOL

I went to Pasco because Lewiston didnt have any charts that I needed to head south.

Ah ha! That would do it. And popping north to PUW probably wouldn't have helped too much, either. Looks like a great trip.

Great write-up and photos!
Must be satisfying not only to complete the job satisfactorily, but to teach the new owner a few things about such flights.
