Ice Pilots on YouTube

[iamtheari]

For anyone who can tune out a little manufactured drama in order to enjoy some airplanes doing airplane things, Ice Pilots NWT is apparently now available to watch for free on YouTube, under a channel named Ice Pilots. I don’t know if it’s complete but, unlike certain other airplane reality TV shows, I can get through an episode or two at a time without falling off the couch laughing.

I really enjoyed that show. I watched it years ago on Netflix I think at the time. Mikey is a character, as is his dad. Fun to watch the young pilots flying those antique airplanes in super challenging conditions. He did a youtube series rescuing a c47 that was really interesting too. He started another project with his dad...a fox moth maybe? Seemed like covid kind of put the end to his yt channel, but i haven't checked lately.

I follow him on fb too. They recently got a 737 200 or 300 set up for gravel strips. He has said that avgas is getting harder to get in some of their far flung destinations, so they're trying to find turbine aircraft that can do the mission.
